Ubisoft’s Mobile RPG Might & Magic Elemental Guardians Launches With AR Mode

Mobile role-playing game (RPG) fans have been served up a treat this week as Ubisoft has brought back the Might & Magic franchise with Might & Magic Elemental Guardians for iOS and Android devices. And to bring it into the modern era an augmented reality (AR) component has been added.

Might & Magic Elemental Guardians is a turned-based arena brawler where you can collect a variety of monsters and take them into battle, level them up, use magical items and more to win.
As with any good RPG there’s a storyline that goes with it: “As a young Wizard apprentice at Akadimia: The Academy of Magic, you will begin a great journey across the enchanted lands of Ashan, discovering ancient lore and collecting epic fantasy creatures. Training and evolving these creatures, you will unlock their true might, forming a team of powerful warriors to battle by your side and advance on the path to becoming the ultimate champion of Ashan.”
Suporting both iOS and Android devices, Might & Magic Elemental Guardians is all about fast-Paced PvP combat. Players enter the Arena and challenge others from around the world in asynchronous battles whilst climbing the weekly rankings from Beginner to Master League to win rewards and can also participate in live events to win prizes and rare items.

There are over 400 animated elemental creatures to encounter, battle and collect, all of which can evolve from cute companions to legendary allies. Players can then ally with friends in Guilds for team adventures.
As for the AR component, using your smartphone’s camera you can take photos of your favourite characters in the real world and even watch PvP battles, being able to view them up close and personal or from any angle they choose.
Might & Magic Elemental Guardians is available as a free download with the obligatory in-app purchases. For any further AR updates from Ubisoft, keep reading VRFocus.
