With the celebration of Father’s Day for the US, UK and much of Europe and elsewhere almost upon us, Oculus have seen fit to celebrate the particular holiday with a special offer that will see customers rewarded with store credit.
From today until 16th June at 11:59pm PT, every new purchase of an Oculus Rift through the Oculus website will come with Oculus Store credit worth $75 (USD).
Oculus say on its blog that this special offer makes the Oculus Rift into a great gift, considering that there are now hundreds of virtual reality (VR) videogames and experiences available through the Oculus Store, covering a huge range of different genres.
Several other Oculus authorised retailers are said to be offering similar promotions, including Amazon, Best Buy, Micro Center and Newegg, though each promotion tends to vary depending on location and what stock is available.
For those who are trying to choose what to spend the store credit on, there are a huge range of titles to choose from, such as adorable platform-puzzle title Moss, which has been recently released on Oculus Rift.
For film fans, there are also tie-in VR titles from films such as Blade Runner 2049 or Disney Pixar’s Coco available to check out so you can immerse yourself in the worlds of those movies. For exercise, titles such as Box VR or Sprint Vector offer a physical challenge along with the mental challenge of your typical videogame.
Social VR is also available, with Facebook Spaces offering a VR take on social media, or you can chill out with friends in VR and watch some films, concerts or sporting events by using Oculus Venues.
